Lotus Garden Yoga provides a safe and friendly environment for expectant ladies to practice yoga for pregnancy, birth and beyond. We like to promote an "Active Birth" for our mums-to-be and our antenatal classes are available to everyone from 14 weeks to term. These classes are very sociable and a great way of meeting new mums in your area.

In these classes you will learn how to be empowered during your pregnancy and how to prepare yourself for a positive birthing experience and parenthood.

  • gentle yoga postures to prepare your body for birth, as well as coping with the changes that pregnancy can bring to your body
  • relaxation and visualisation techniques to help you through your pregnancy and labour
  • The Yoga Birthing Breath for 1st, 2nd and 3rd stage labour
  • Birthing Postions
 

Each week we have a particular focus in the class looking at different aspects of your birth. We cover such things as optimal foetal positioning, the advantages of an active birth and pelvic floor awareness, along with many other topics. No experience is required to attend the antenatal yoga classes. Weekly attendance is strongly recommended.

Class Costs: 6 week block bookings £60.00

Booking is essential as these classes are extremely popular.

Birth Partner Workshops

Every six weeks, we run a Birth Partner Workshop. In this workshop we look at the birth partners role during labour, massage techniques, birth plans, all the stages of labour, as well as birthing positions. This is also an ideal opportunity for fathers to meet each other.
